This work reinterprets Rainer Wehinger’s visual score for György Ligeti’s Artikulation through a performative and visual translation process. The artist engages with Wehinger’s 1970s score, translating auditory and visual elements into physical movements, which are recorded and transcribed onto paper. These recordings are then analysed using video editing software, employing tools such as lumetri scopes to dissect and reinterpret the movements and drawings across various digital mediums. By traversing the boundaries between analogue and digital, movement and stillness, and sound and image, the work invites viewers to reconsider the processes of perception, translation, and categorisation.
