Table of Contents No. 1 is an interdisciplinary exploration of the relationship between music, space, and imagery. It features a scanned music sheet of the first prelude from Johann Sebastian Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier book 1, with visible color marks that reflect the artist's interpretation of the piece as well as a general analysis of its musical progression. The prelude marks the start of a vast journey through every musical key in Western music.
The accompanying photographs capture the same subject, with variations in lighting that suggest the passage of time and reveal specific areas illuminated by light. Despite being different media, both the music and images pose questions about the concept of time and its progression.
